About Myself
My name is Sean Sternberg and I’ve been playing lacrosse for 6 years, starting with Sammamish Lacrosse at its inception in 2006. I started playing for the Seattle Starz in 8th grade and am currently playing with them on their silver Elite team. I’ve been stringing lacrosse sticks for 3 years for all types of players ranging from 3rd and 4th graders to my high school varsity teammates on Sammamish Lacrosse.
I first got the inspiration to string lacrosse sticks after realizing that many of my teammates were not playing to their potential due to poor stringing. I asked my Starz coach to teach me how to string lacrosse heads on one of our plane rides over to Maryland for a tournament. I spent the next 6 hours learning the basics from him and was hooked. I really enjoyed making the stick throw exactly how I wanted and not having to trust another person to string the head for me. Sadly not everyone has the desire or time to learn how to string heads, so my goal is to provide you with a head that is exactly what you want. I’ve been stringing sticks long enough now where I can put certain amounts of whip on the stick, change the pocket location, and string all types of shooting string patterns, ranging from double V’s to straight wrapped shooters*. When I string your stick, it will be exactly how you want it, and if it’s not at first, we’ll work with it until it’s perfect.
*If you are not familiar with these terms, there will be pictures of the shooting string styles mentioned, below.
Pocket stringing:
· $20 for a full stringing job; I will provide all of the materials. (I have both traditional 10 diamond mesh and 6 diamond mesh)
· $10 for labor only; If you provide the materials I will string the stick with the materials you provide me with.
· If you a head strung immediately, I can have it finished within 3 hours for a $7 fee, and 1 day for a $3 fee. I promise to have it ready for pickup within 5 days normally.
The full stringing job comes with my 1 month warranty; if any of the stringing material I provide with my services is defective, give the head back to me and I will string it again with new materials for free. This warranty renews itself after every restringing. Please note that pinched heads sometimes make the ball rub on the materials and cause them to break. STRINING THAT FAILS ON A PINCHED HEAD WILL NOT BE REPLACED.
Note About Materials:
I only string with white mesh, white sidewall, and white shooting strings. I realize that some players like having neon colored materials but for some reason, the “colored” meshes do not have the same consistency as regular ol’ white mesh and tend to discolor, degrade, and fall apart much faster. I will, however, string with any material you bring me so if you would like some crazy shooting strings, mesh, or sidewall on your stick, you will have to acquire them by your own means.
