Tyler Farrar

Varsity Head Coach

Coach Bio

Coach Farrar hails from Washington where he played defensive midfielder for the University of Washington.  His coaching resume includes roles at Issaquah and Bishop Blanchet (both while in college); 2 yrs as the Defense Coach for The Overlake School (D2 State Title in 2009) and a year at Mukilteo also as the Defensive Coach. Tyler has also coached for the Seattle Starz program at the middle and high school level.
Coach Farrar took the SLC Varsity team to the Dll Chamionships in 2011.
 

Bryan Jacobson

Coach Bio

Bryan first started playing lacrosse when he was in 8th grade. He then went on to play at  Bainbridge High School for 4 years, 3 of which he was the Varsity starting midfield. He helped his team get to the State Championship in his sophomore and junior year. “I believed [it] fueled my desire to play at the UW,” says Bryan. At the University of Washington, he met and played on the lacrosse team with SLC’s head Varsity coach, Tyler Farrar.

Thinking Ahead...Summer Lacrosse

Summer HS League

Teams that have participated in the previous seasons are:Issaquah, Bellevue, Skyline, Northshore, Lake Washington, Mukilteo, Lynwood, Redmond, Garfield, Eastside Catholic, Sammamish, and Snohomish, Woodinville

The Outdoor Team League will follow previous year’s format closely:
 
Fields are reserved for the following dates:
 
6/6, 6/13, 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1. 
 
All games will be at Central Park.

*Apologies for the 8/1 date. Unfortunately 7/4 falls on a Wednesday so it is a BYE week. If you have a strong feeling about finding another date that week please let me know.
 
·         All teams are guaranteed 8 games
·         The games will be full field
·         Games will start at either 5:00 PM, 6:00PM, or 7:00 PM
·        There will be 12 minute running clock quarters
              (2 min between periods and a 4 min half)
·               ·         There are no timeouts 
·         League officials will be at all games so that you can focus on coaching
·         The cost will be $50.00 per player  (checks made to Sammamish Lacrosse)

Varsity Letter Policy

Varsity Team Letter Policy.  dated: 2/28/12

Sammamish Lacrosse intends to acknowledge members of its high school varsity team by awarding deserving players varsity “letters.” Players must “suit up” for at least ten (10) varsity games in order to be eligible for letter status. Players who attend Sammamish, Interlake, Newport and International High Schoosl are eligible. Eligibility alone does not guarantee that a player will be awarded a letter. The award of a varsity letter is discretionary with the head varsity coach whose decision shall be final.
